Course Description:

One Quarter

Available to grades 11 and 12

Students will have the opportunity to learn about how people (0-18 years old) develop in our 5 areas of development.  You will focus on an age group you would like to work with in the future and become the “expert” of that group.  We will also look at how society, parents, culture, and the economy affect development.  By taking this course you will have a solid foundation if you are hoping to work with children someday.

This course is transcripted through CVTC and part of their Foundations of Teacher Education pathway program.  This is a required course if you are planning to take the Foundations of Teacher Education Practicum course senior year.
