This course is a quarter long elective designed for all 9-12 grade students to explore the manufacturing, construction, and engineering career pathways with a focus on welding. Students will learn and apply several welding and cutting processes including SMAW (ARC/stick), GMAW (MIG/wire feed), Oxy-Fuel Cutting (OFC), and CNC Plasma design and operation. They will develop fundamental skills and knowledge through a variety of activities that incorporate; industry safety, print reading, measurement, self-reflection, certifications, and project planning and completion.

Student supplied safety glasses and welding gloves are required.
