Machine Tool Technology is an in depth exploration of modern machine tool practices. This course will allow the student to further develop the knowledge and skills acquired in Machine Metalworking. Areas emphasized include advanced measuring practices using digital readouts, thread forms, gear cutting, foundry practices, heat treatment, metallurgy, advanced lathe, and mill practices, and computer numerical (CNC) machining. Students may earn up to 5 credits with CVTC.
Student supplied safety glasses are required.
